Messina Out of Office — Innovating to Grow
Prof. Ioppolo participated in the "Messina Out of Office" event (June 25, Marina del Nettuno), organized by Sicindustria Messina young entrepreneurs. A dialogue between young entrepreneurs, university, and innovation, with contributions from Paolo Pino (Volta Space Technologies), Elena Barresi (Cloudia Research), and Giuseppe Lanfranchi.

Prof. Ioppolo was appointed International Member of the Advisory Board of the Doctoral School at the University of Szczecin (Poland). The appointment strengthens international academic cooperation with Rector Prof. Waldemar Tarczyński and Doctoral School Director Prof. Jarosław Korpysa.

The LQS Lab participated with two contributions at the International Workshop #APPLMATH 2026 (June 10-12, Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti, Messina): "Smarter Waste, Better Living: An AI-informed decision-making framework for Messina's sustainable future" (D'Alessandro, Licastro, Morana, Szopik-Depczyńska, Ioppolo) and "Sustainable Destinations: Can DMOs Drive the Circular Transition of Sicily's Tourism Supply?" (Morana, Licastro, D'Alessandro, Szopik-Depczyńska, Limosani, Ioppolo) within the MeTaBlue DMO project.

Sustainability MDPI — Meeting in Beijing
Sustainability (MDPI) Section Managing Editors Felicia Yang and Andra Pribanović met with Prof. Ioppolo, Editor-in-Chief of the "Economic and Business Aspects of Sustainability" section, in Beijing. Future initiatives were discussed including publication training programs for early-career researchers, academic workshops, summer schools, and strengthened collaboration with laboratories and research institutions.

InnoTech 2026 — Beijing, China
The LQS Lab team participated in the Innovation and Technology Management Conference (InnoTech 2026), May 22-24, Renaissance Beijing Haidian Hotel, Beijing. Two posters were presented: "Operationalizing Tourism 5.0: A Meta-Organizational Framework for Sustainable Destination Management" (D'Alessandro, Szopik-Depczyńska, Ioppolo, Morana) and "Green Innovation in the Pharmaceutical Industry through the Lens of Industry 5.0: A Conceptual Framework" (Erim, D'Alessandro, Szopik-Depczyńska, Ioppolo).
